After taking a short, scenic train ride through the vineyards to Epernay, Moët and Chandon is situated within walking distance of the town center and you will meet your guide at a central departure point before being taken to the vineyards where you will have a tour at a smaller producer. Moet Chandon Champagne Day 1 ~ Arrival Reims: Upon arrival in Reims, check into a Privilège room at the 4* Hotel de la Paix. A bottle of chilled Champagne will be waiting for you in your room. Sample Itinerary: DAY 1 | ARRIVE EDINBURGH On arrival at Edinburgh airport you will be met by your Scottish chauffeur.  This afternoon enjoy a walking tour of the city showing off the main sights of Edinburgh. You will see the Georgian period New Town, the Old City, Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace. Then take a tour of Edinburgh Castle. Stroll through the Great Hall, take in the views from the Battery, and see the Stone of Destiny and the Scottish Crown jewels. The balance of your evening is at leisure. Overnight: The Roxburghe DAY 2 | EDINBURGH/DUNKELD/PITLOCHRY/INVERNESS Depart Edinburgh this morning and begin your journey towards the Highlands. Stop in the historic village of Dunkeld. Dunkeld is set on the banks of the river Tay and is surrounded by hills and beautiful countryside and forests. Continue to the picturesque town of Pitlochry and visit Blair Atholl Distillery. A tour of Blair Atholl will give you an explanation of the traditional art of malt whisky distilling.  Next visit Dalwhinnie, the highest distillery in the country and closest to the source of the River Spey. Arrive in Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. (Breakfast) Overnight: Kingsmill Hotel DAY 3 | SPEYSIDE WHISKY REGION Spend a whole day exploring Speyside, Scotland’s most famous whisky region. Drive along the scenic coastline and stop at the family owned Benromach Distillery. It is Speyside’s smallest distillery with only two distillers working at creating Benromach using the finest Scottish barley and the spring water from the nearby Romach Hills.  Next visit Speyside Cooperage that produces the finest casks from the best American Oak.  The cooperage still uses the traditional methods and tools. See the highly skilled coopers at work as take you on a journey through the lifecycle of the cask. The final stop of the day is at Cardhu Distillery. Cardhu is the most important whisky in Johnnie Walker Black Label. Return to Inverness, where your evening is at leisure. (Breakfast) Overnight: Kingsmill Hotel DAY 4 | INVERNESS/LOCH NESS/ISLE OF SKYE This morning take the road to the Isles. As you travel, have your chauffeur make a stop at Loch Ness so you can look for the elusive monster, Nessie. On to visit Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most iconic and well-recognized images of Scotland. The castle is situated on an island at the point where three great sea lochs meet and is surrounded by majestic scenery. Cross Loch Alsh via the Skye Bridge and begin your island experience. Stop to visit Dunvegan Castle, standing on the shores of Loch Dunvegan. The oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland, it has been the ancestral home of the Chiefs of Clan MacLeod for more than 800 years. Explore the castle and wander through its five acres of formal gardens. The balance of your evening is at leisure. (Breakfast) Overnight: Broadford Hotel DAY 5 | ISLE OF SKYE SIGHTSEEING & FREE TIME Take in the spectacular views of the Cuillin Mountains, lochs and cliffs, and see traces of prehistoric and medieval people as you head out today. Discover the history of the Highlands and Islands through the story of Clan Donald at Armadale Castle. You might also want to stroll through its woodland garden with lawns, terraced walks, ponds, and a colorful profusion of flowers. Next visit the Talisker Whisky Distillery, the only distillery on the Isle of Skye. Take a tour to see the copper pot stills and oak casks, then, after learning the process of whisky making, enjoy a wee dram of their award-winning single malt. (Breakfast) Overnight: Broadford Hotel DAY 6 | ISLE OF SKYE/FORT WILLIAM After a leisurely morning, drive to Armadale and take the ferry to Mallaig. This afternoon, board the Jacobite Steam Train, considered one of the greatest rail trips in the world due to the stunning scenery along the route. As you travel, watch for the Glenfinnan Viaduct, well known to Harry Potter fans familiar with the “Hogwarts Express.” Disembark in Fort William. Relax and enjoy your evening in this little town set at the foot of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. (Breakfast) Overnight: Inverlochy Castle DAY 7 | FORT WILLIAM/LOCH LOMOND/GLENGOYNE/EDINBURGH Travel through the beautiful valley of Glencoe, site of the infamous 1692 massacre when the MacDonalds were killed by the Campbells. On a much happier note, this is also where part of the filming of “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” took place. Day 1:  Relax on a flight to Dublin, Ireland!  Prepare for a week of colorful cities, tasty drinks and picturesque landscapes!

Day 2: Welcome to Ireland!  Upon arrival you will collect your rental car and head to Dublin where you will spend the first two nights.  Get settled in at either the O’Callaghans Mont Clare Hotel or the Maldron Hotel Cardiff Lane and then explore the city!  Dublin is a tremendous city with beautiful landmarks, vibrant pubs and much more for visitors to enjoy.  Take a tour of the Guinness Storehouse, one of the world’s most famous breweries.    The Guinness Storehouse® is located in the heart of the Guinness Brewery at St James’s Gate, Dublin. Day 3:  Today you will first visit the Irish Whiskey Museum.  The Museum uniquely depicts the origins of Irish whiskey, its rise to glory, its dramatic fall and of course, the current revival of new Irish whiskeys. This interactive, ultra-modern experience will offer a WOW factor unlike any other in Dublin. With an exclusive collection of Irish whiskey memorabilia dating back to the 1800s blended with a modern twist, this is one memory you are sure to savor. This guided tour departs every 20 to 30mins (depending on the season) and takes one-hour to complete.

Afterwards, visit the Teeling Whiskey Distillery- the first new distillery in Dublin in over 125 years.  The brand new distillery is right back where it started in 1782 and only a stone’s throw away from where Walter Teeling’s old distillery was. Located in an ancient market square called Newmarket, an area long associated with brewing and distilling, this new distillery is a three copper pot still operation- reviving the traditional style of Dublin whiskey distillation. The distillery, opening to visitors in 2015 will allow you to come see, smell and experience a real operational distillery and interact with the people making Teeling whiskey.

Day 4:  Continue to the Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny for a two-night stay.  Take the ten-minute drive to the famous KIlkenny Castle after you get settled in.  The 12th century castle was remodeled in Victorian times and set in extensive parklands.  Due to major restoration works, the central block now includes a library, drawing room, and bedrooms decorated in 1830’s splendor, as well as the beautiful Long Gallery.  A suite of former servant’s rooms is the Butler Art Gallery, which mounts frequently changing exhibitions of contemporary art.   This is a great afternoon excursion- depending on the weather you can eat lunch on the grounds.

Day 5:  The Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny is a new multi-sensory and interactive experience that will take visitors on a journey through the medieval origins of brewing on the site of the St. Francis Abbey Brewery to the arrival of John Smithwick in the 1700’s, and up to the present day. Visitors will be fully immersed in the history of Smithwick’s, Ireland’s oldest beer brand, the amazing heritage of the Smithwick’s family and its place in Kilkenny, a city steeped in history and brewing. The tour includes a giant seven-foot high hologram monk welcoming you to the brewery. When you start the tour it will be in a monastery-like cavern, just as it was when the monks came there all those centuries ago and it will be lit by candlelight making it even more atmospheric. During the tour, the Smithwick’s brewing process will be brought to life with the opportunity to experience the smells, tastes and textures of the raw materials involved in creating the perfect pint of ale.

Day 6:  After busy days in Dublin and Kilkenny you will drive to the dreamy village of Adare for a two-night stay at the 5-star Adare Manor and Resort.  You will have admission to the Cliffs of Moher which will be one of the most unforgettable day-trips. The Cliffs of Moher are Ireland’s most visited natural attraction, with a dreamlike vista that captures the hearts of up to one-million visitors every year. Standing 702-feet at their highest point, they stretch for five miles along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland. From the Cliffs of Moher on a clear day one can see the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, as well as the Twelve Pins and the Maum Turk mountains in Connemara, Loop Head to the south and the Dingle Peninsula and Blasket Islands in Kerry. O’Brien’s Tower stands near the highest point and has served as a viewing point for visitors for hundreds of years.

Day 7:  You will have today to spend at your leisure!  Explore the grounds of the Adare Manor, explore the charming village of Adare complete with traditional thatched cottages, or maybe take another day-trip.  King John’s Castle in Limerick is a popular spot as well as the eclectic city of Galway.

Before travelling to Ay we will visit a traditional, family-run champagne house and learn how this bubbly wine is produced. We finish the visit with a champagne tasting. This evening includes a welcome dinner in Ay, a modest town in the Champagne Ardenne region. (D) Day 3: Champagne We will explore the famous region of Champagne in depth today.  First, we’ll stop in Epernay, the “Capital of Champagne”. A drive to La Cote des Blancs will lead us to a small champagne producer where we will peruse the vineyards and have a local expert tell us about the local products before we enjoy a glass or two of this iconic beverage! This afternoon we take a leisurely drive through the Montagne de Reims, known for its Pinot Noir, before returning to Ay for the evening. (B) Day 4: Ay – Chablis – Beaune Travel south to Chablis, one of the most famous white wine regions in the world where we visit a traditional wine cellar. Continue on to Beaune, the “Capital of Burgundy wines”. Nestled between prestigious vineyards, this ancient town is filled with local shops, wineries and the most adorable French bistros. Feel free to explore the city on your own for the rest of the day.  The streets of Beaune are lined with charming eateries, medieval houses and great wine! (B) Day 6: Beaune – Lyon From Beaune we travel along the beautiful Route des Vins to the medieval village of Brancion before continuing to the town of Paray-le-Monial on the River Bourbince. Here we’ll see the Romanesque basilica and admire the Renaissance-style town hall. Driving south, we’ll reach Lyon, the Gourmet capital of France. Spend the evening wandering through the city center and soaking up the lively atmosphere. (B) Day 7: Lyon – Rhone Valley – Lyon This morning we explore the Rhone valley. We stop in Tain l’Hermitage, home of the famous Hermitage wines, to enjoy a private tasting session at the Maison Chapoutier, where the sommelier will explain the differences between their refreshing Saint Peray and aromatic Hermitage Rouge. We drive to Tournon-sur-Rhone to admire its historic centre and the pedestrian chain-bridge. Continuing north, our final stop is at a well-respected Condrieu wine producer. Dinner is in a traditional Bouchon Lyonnais. (B, D) Day 8: Lyon – Departure Our tour finishes after breakfast. You may wish to further explore the city at your leisure before your private transfer takes you to the airport. Over the course of a week you will experience Paris, or more affectionately referred to as the City of Lights, the French countryside of Amboise and Bordeaux and the beautiful vineyards that produce some of the world’s most favorite wines.  Your rental car will allow you to take advantage of the included tours while also having free time to independently explore France. You will indulge in a French Wine Master Class in Paris, take a tour of the Saint Emilion Vineyards near Bordeaux and much more! Days 1 and 2: The first two nights of your France vacation will be at the Hotel Fouquet’s Barriere in Paris. While here you will want to visit The Louvre.  This museum is internationally recognized and is a must-see.  You could easily spend an entire day here. If you select our upgrade at time of booking you will receive skip the line access to the Eiffel Tower- a vacation to Paris is not complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower! Day 3: The next night will be at Le Choiseul in Amboise. While in Amboise take a visit to the château where King Francois I spent much of his childhood, and in 1515, where Leonardo da Vinci lived and worked in the nearby Clos Lucé, connected to the château by an underground passage. Leonardo is buried in the Chapel of Saint-Hubert adjoining the château. Days 4 and 5: The next two nights will be at the Hotel Burdigala. You will have a tour of Grand Cru Chateau and the Saint Emilion Vineyards. Built on the River Garonne, this is one of the major capitals of the wine industry.  Bordeaux wine has been produced in this region since the 8th century and the annual wine fair held in the city attracts buyers from all over the world! Day 6: The next night will be at the Château d’Artigny in Montbazon. Your rental car will be especially helpful when you want to take any detours or pit stops for photo opportunities.  This Classical Wine Tour will have taken you to beautiful French countryside and rich vineyards and back to the bustling city of Paris. Day 7: Your final night will be back in the City of Lights.  You’ll return your rental car here before heading back to America tomorrow.

Day 1:  Depart the United States and relax on an overnight flight to Dublin.  Flights to Dublin from New York are typically 7-8 hours long, so try and sleep in order to ensure you arrive ready to explore Ireland!

Day 2:  From Dublin Airport you will have a private airport transfer take you to the 4-star Brooks Hotel.  The first four nights of this eight night getaway will be spent at this modern and sleek centrally located hotel.  Situated on Drury Street, just a few steps away from the famous Grafton Street, you will be in a prime location for souvenir shopping, pub crawling and sightseeing!

Days 3-5:  During your stay in Dublin you will have a few excellent tours included in this vacation package.  Enjoy a tour of the Old Jameson Distillery where you can indulge in a tasty whiskey drink at the Discovery Bar.  You will also take a tour of the iconic Guinness Storehouse which includes a complimentary pint at the end of the tour at the Gravity Bar, overlooking the city of Dublin.  These panoramic views are breathtaking.   Finally, you will experience the Dublin nightlife in a more unique way with a Dublin Literary Pub Tour.  The tour begins at the Duke Pub off of Grafton Street.  You will have an engaging guide who will take you to the all of the same spots that James Joyce and James Larkin sat and wrote their most famous masterpieces.

Days 6-9:  After your thirst-quenching four nights in Dublin you will discover what true Irish hospitality feels like with four nights at an Irish Welcome Home of your choice!  You will pick up a rental car on your way out of Dublin that will be yours for the remaining days of your vacation.  It is highly encouraged that you book a property prior to your departure date.  You’ll choose from 100 Bed & Breakfasts throughout Ireland that offer spectacular service along with beautiful accommodations.  Some popular destinations include Galway, Clare and Limerick.  These cities are great because they offer visitors the chance to see the gorgeous Irish countryside along with the quirky city-life.  Admission to the Cliffs of Moher is included in this vacation package which will allow you to witness some of the most extraordinary views in Ireland.  Galway is the perfect city to experience an Irish pub.  Visit The Crane Bar where you can stop in for a pint plus, enjoy live music every night.
